A Linux-first control application for Stream Deck hardware, built around a clean interface and practical device control.

Control hardware without fighting the software

SmurfDeck started from a simple frustration: the available Linux tools for Stream Deck hardware either did not fit the workflow I wanted or came with interfaces and assumptions I did not want to work around.

The project is being built as a Python-based, Linux-first application with the focus on a clean desktop experience, reliable hardware control and an architecture that remains understandable enough to extend.

Direction

The current design work centres on device discovery, button and page management, action configuration and a Smurftech-native interface rather than trying to reproduce another platform's application.

SmurfDeck is a personal-use project first. The repository remains private while the foundations are still moving quickly, with public release and packaging planned once the application reaches a suitable baseline.

Planned distribution

The longer-term goal is to make installation and updates feel native on Arch-based systems, including CachyOS. When the project is ready for public distribution, releases and package-installation information will live here.
